I receive my Sandisk Ultra II today. I tried puting my maps that I had on my original Sandisk 256, plus mp3's, all together about 320mb. Once I put my 2.0 in the que, it cannot read the maps, and when I look at the card using zlauncher, the files in the folders are corrupt. When I put the card back in the PC card reader, the folders look corrupt also. Only a format can get the card back. I tried formating on the PC, to FAT, FAT32 and formating on the iQue. But once I put files on the card and insert it in the ique, no maps, folders and files get corrupt. Right now, I cannot use this card in the iQue, I tried several times. Anyone else has a SanDisk Ultra II 2.0 card and is sucessfull using it on the Ique?

I am using the 2GB SanDisk Ultra II with entire CSNA and it works fine.

Seems that I formatted it first using a USB reader and then put it in the iQue so it can set up the dirctories it needs, then I copied the maps to it using the USB reader.

This is a pretty basic question but do you have the 1GB card patch installed in the iQue?

I've been using the 2 Gig Sandisk Ultra II since about 4/1/05 and have had no trouble at all with it. As I remember it, I didn't format the card, just used the card as I received it - and just simply copied all of CSNA (Version 6) onto the card using a San Disk Card reader.

It took a while to compile the map set and also to do the transfer - but it's been working like a charm.

I hope you are able to solve your problem - having all of CSNA on one card is very handy.

I've found that some card readers, especially cheap ones, sometimes have trouble with the larger cards. The one I have on my computer does the same thing to my 1 gig card but works fine on anything smaller. Try formating the card on the iQue and transfering the maps with a hotsync and see if that works.

Good Luck!

Some card reader devices must be "stopped" in order to flush the write cache before the card can be safely removed. Otherwise missing or corrupted files result. I guess you know this - just checking to be sure. The only other thing I can think of right now is the OS version. It must be 5.2.1r3 or the R3 patch mentioned by Ken above. (The R3 patch is not needed to read/write 1GB cards, just to format them in the iQue.)

Thanks for all the quick responses. I have the latest Palm version 5.2.1r3. The problem was actually in the card reader. I went out and bought another card reader yesterday, but a 2.0. Transfered the same amount to the card, wow, what took 10 minutes yesterday took 1 1/2 today, nice. Inserted the card in the que, and all is well :) time to play..
