Have you upgraded your Netbook's OS to support ethernet? If it is supported, you should see an "Ethernet" icon in the Control Panel...

I seem to recall that Ethernet-only (i.e. no 56K modem) may not necessarily work, particularly if it is a 10/100 speed (rather than just 10).
You should also check that your card's interface is *not* a new 32-bit Cardbus type, but instead is an old-style 16-bit type.

What settings you use really depends on how your WiFi access point is set-up! You need to know things like network name, what security is enabled (if any), and maybe even whether it supports 11Mbps speed (and not just 54Mbps)...
There have been questions like this in the past. Try having a search on Psion Place!

This is getting way off-topic for Psion Netbooks !
I'm no expert but I don't think that 98se is capable of sharing an internet connection (i.e. acting as a router). Think that you need XP for this.
Get yourself a Wireless DSL Modem Router, and do the job properly;-) Then you can also use your Netbook when the PC is switched off (i.e. most of the time).

"I get the two machines to see each other"
I assume you mean that you can ping the other one? Or something more advanced?
I have a feeling that you can configure Win98SE to share the internet connection, but I've never done this as it's far better (if more expensive) to have a stand-alone box doing the routing job.
I suggest that internet sharing is not Psion specific, and therefore you ought to Google for a general how-to for Windows 98.

You will have to have everything set static as 98 won't automatically do anything for you - static settings include IP address, netmask, gateway, DNS and possibly others too.
You will probably also have to use peer-to-peer mode as the 98PC won't be acting as an Access Point.
Getting a standalone box to do it will make your life so much easier...
