mapsource, City select, and GPS 10

Ok, I am sure this has been asked before, but I didn't find it in my search.

I have noticed the GPS10 is available with and without the mapping software. Will the mapsource software that I have for my Ique 3600 work with the gps10 on a PPC? What am I missing here? I know the palm software won't work, but mapsource itself can be independent.

Enlighten me, any way I can save some bucks here?

Yes, you can use your existing mapsource if you have an unlock code left for a second Garmin GPS unit, but if you buy the GPS10 without software you will not get the PPC setup programs you need.
You can download the Que 2.7 app from the Garmin site, but I don't know if that will give you the full install, i.e. the voice change functions etc.

Garmin should make the PPC setup apps available to those with 3600's, that way they would be encouraged to get a GPS10 if they move away from Palm units and want to keep some of the map sets they already have.
