Does this account have POP3 or IMAP, and SMTP capabilities, or is it like Hotmail with some specially designed access "protocol"?.

With the iPAQ are you using the same service. ISP, to dial-up?

Yes all are the same.I connect to the ISP with the same username and password. After that i connect again to yahoo.mail.co anblem d i sign in with the yahoo mail useranmae and passwords. I receive e-mails but i can not send any.
If i use my original mail account to my isp i have no problem at all
I wil ltry to open a new one account in my pc. and i will inform you again.

Let me see if I have this correct? You are able to send and recieve your e-mail from your ISP e-mail account. But from your Yahoo e-mail account you can only recieve, right? If this is the case I think I have the answer.

I would try putting your ISP's SMTP server address in the SMTP field for your Yahoo account. It sounds like the Yahoo and/or ISP server things that you are trying to relay (a.k.a. spam) mail.

You also might want to check to amke sure that the port setting on your iPAQ is the same as that on your laptop, and that you don't have to "authorize" to the server.

oops what does it means and how can i check it?
But for my isp account why i dont need that?
First i connect to my isp internet server using my username and pass and after that i go to yahoo.mail.com and i create a new amail account.Where is the setting your are talking about?
Have you heard this problem before?

I just saw your post in the PocketPC City forum. Are you dialing-up or using GPRS? I use a 6310i to get dialed-up with my iPAQ.

Well that is the part I'm not quite sure about, the part about why it works on the laptop and not the iPAQ. When you setup your account for your ISp on your lapto did you did it manuallyor was there something that automated it? If not automated did they have instruction that you followed?

Have you tried putting your ISPs SMTP server info in the SMTP settings for your Yahoo account, on your iPAQ?

When you get back, and if I'm here, we can try and see if we can find the settings and put the ISP SMTP into the SMTP Settings in your yahoo account on your iPAQ. I am still pretty sure that is what it is.
