Hi. I'm currently using a Packard Bell Pocket Gear 2060. It's a fantastic piece of kit - smaller and more powerful than the iPAQ!!
I'm now considering investing in a Rocketeer expansion pack. Is there amy one out there who is currently using this expansion pack - what are the pros and cons in general with these expansion packs - what do people mainly use them for?

I also have a 2060, but I think only the CF rocketeers are available at the minute, at least that's all I can find! Am looking forward to hooking it into my wireless network when the Pc card rocketeer becomes available.
Incidentally, do you have slight problems with the battery level fluctuating wildly?Or is it just me?

Thanks for the info. I find it really hard to get any concrete info. from Packard Bell themselves. Regarding the battery level - I agree with you. I find that I keep getting battery warning indicator coming on even though the battery is fully charged.

I find this happens also, the low battery alarm comes up for a while after the unit has been in the craddle & on charge.
I have had problems getting hold of accessories, only recently did packard bell update their website to have any reference of the accessories that are available, and even then you still have to phone up partmaster with an order, as their site doesn't even show support for Packard Bell handhelds !
Got a universal case from expansys.com in the end.
Apart from that I am delighted with my new toy, replacing my Palm M100.
My boss is a bit cheesed as he has an Ipac and my pda is smarter, quicker, lighter, smaller and a hell of a lot cheaper than his.

I was lucky I think - I bought mine during a time this year where Packard Bell were doing a promotion. Got a free leather case, spare battery and cable.
I also recently contacted Part Master for info. on the CF and PC card Rocketeers. Details are as follows:
Part no A000004700 PACK ROCKETEER PC CARD JCKT WITH BATTERY BGM
Price £99.99
Part no A000004600 PACK ROCKETEER CF 2 ADAPTOR WITH BATTERY BGM
Price £122.99
I am really keen on going wireless with my laptop - has anyone got any ideas on this - what are the best options. If I get a CF type 2 adaptor can I use any generic CF bluetooth card with the pocket pc?
Any help appreciated.

If you're thinking of using bluetooth, why don't you get a secure digital card and not bother with the rocketeer? Do partmaster actually have the rocketeers in stock, by the way?

Hi - yes they do have them in stock at the moment. What is a secure digital card? Where do I get it from? I only have an SD expansion slot on the top of my PDA.
