Vx Modem and Email

To anyone out there with a Vx modem...

I'm curious to know what application you used to send and receive email on your Vx and what app you used to browse the web. Recently got a Vx modem and have been trying to do some email using ProxiMail (formerly Top Gun) Version 1.0 Beta but my Palm Vx keeps crashing when I try to send and receive. I've disabled all hacks, overclocker, and keyboard drivers, all to no avail. I even hard reset my Vx and loaded just ProxiMail and it still continues to crash or hang. I'm running OS 4.1 if that makes any difference.

Also, browsing the web using AvantGo is a real chore. Wondering if anyone out there has some better ideas.

I've had the modem a couple of days now and I haven't been able to do anything other than update AvantGo via the phone line, so I know the modem works...

Eudora has a free email app that I have used on my Vx/Modem with good results and it is free. I use Blazer 2 from HandSpring, not free, but excellent for the web.

PS: Eudora also has a web browser. I was not satisfied but you may find it works for you, it is free.
