Blackberry and SprintPCS

Anybody know whether RIM is developing a Blackberry for the SPRINTPCS Vision system?

I've been told that Sprint decided not to carry the Blackberry product as if they sold the BES and the handheld, customers could use that same BES with Sprints competitors. i.e. voicestream/att etc. They would prefer to not sell a product that could utilize other networks.

I wouldn't think that would be much of an issue Wireless guy. I mean every different type of BlackBerry will work on anyone's BES, and as far as being able to buy a BlackBerry from Sprint and activate it on a competitors network, it can't be done. The PIN number has to be released from the original seller.

Right, however I'm talking about the software. Sprint does not want to offer a corporate solution that can utilize other devices when they can offer their own solution that will only work with their devices. Blackberry is a network agnostic solution. Sprint feels that is not the direction they would like to go in.
