Ok, I saw some posts about making the poweradaptor for the PDA fit the GPS10 and vice verca.
Here's my 2 pence in the matter.
It is wired so that you can use wichever adapter of the two and power/charge either or both of the units (hx4700 & GPS10)
Tell me what you think about my whay of doing it. :D

Don't do the reverse and let the GPS10 adaptor power the ipaq. Because then it'll break:D :D :D

I'm not to sure about that, it will get a bit hot thoug, but if i have the iPAQ fully charged it will only need tricklecharging and that don't need a lot of power. A couple of milli Amps would suffice.

Is that a guess?

Well, not quite.. It was acording to another user somewhere...
Although I have to clarify the "couple of milliamps" what I ment was "a couple of hundred milliamps".
But you might know better since It seems that you have deeper knowledge in electronics...:)
So, am I wrong? Even if it is fully charged, Isn't it so that it wont break immedeately but become hot first? So there should be an indication right?

It's a bad idea to exceed the amp rating of a charger. There is an obvious fire hazard. It might also break directly instead of getting hot. Since a charger at max power will almost alsways get hot, how do you know what is too hot?
There is a simple way to avoid problems. Measure the current drawn by the various devices. All other approaches is amateurism. An instrument isn't expensive.
Since you have access to ELFA in Sweden, you can easily buy a small charger that gives you 5 volts 4 amps. I did the same as you but put in connectors for all devices that I travel which use five volts (iQue, Looz, GPS10, cell phones, etc.

Hi Jonas!
Well, I do have a multimeter and when measuring the current drawn i get betwen .4 - .5 A with que running and connected via BT.
If I also turn WiFi on I get an increase of about .1 A.
Since it is well below the 1 A rating ov the GPS10 charger it sure seems as it would be able to cope.. am i right?
After all I don't think i will have to have both tde hx4700 and the GPS10 pluged in at the same time.
What do you think?
( well, anyhow.. I have bought an active carmount from www.kjell.com. [PDA mount] (http://www.kjell.com/content/templates/shop_main_details.aspx?item=31029&path=10400000,10410000) wich by the way seems quite sturdy with speaker and serialport, so I guess the Garmin charger won't have to be tested for the iPAQ that much.)

Jonas, did you miss this post or just didn't care? :o

I didn't see the post until now. My attention to pdastreet is weatherdependent.
Chargers for my old ipaq 5450 and my present Loox 720 are rated 5 V 2 Amps. I guess the reason is that under certain circumstances such as full backlight and simultaneous charging of an empty battery, current draw can exceed 1 amp. I wouldn't use a charger that can't handle worst case situations.
