Hi,

I'm getting used to working with my old, but for me new, Psion 5mx with only the keyboard (See (http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5579) ).

My wife is using an iPAQ 3760 (Don't shoot ME!). Anyone suggestions in how to exchange files between them?

Via PsiWin and ActiveSynch seems to me the long way around.

Or: are file-formats so very different that it is a strange thing to ask this... I would like to exchange simple notes and wav-files with the childrens singing on it. I presume synchronising agenda's is too far off...

Perhaps you can point me to a place were to learn more about these PDA's... :-)))

What you will need to do is find out what IR protocols the iPaq supports (there are PocketPC forums here at pdastreet - start from http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=4).

An off-the shelf Psion uses a very simple protocol (named what folks? I can't remember) that is not very good at talking to other devices. IrOrBex support can however be added to a Psion device - check this thread for the two options:

http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5312&highlight=irorbex

Once both devices talk IrOrBex, sending files back and forth should not be a problem. All you've got to sort out then is how to convert them between formats. The best program available for the Psion is nConvert from www.neuon.com Whether there is an equivalent program for iPaq is another question you'll have to ask in the PocketPC forums...
