While using Que find/ Waypoints/ Search Method, I am seeing two search methods indicating to locations I apparently I selected at one time. Other than the normal search methods ( Near current location, By name, etc.), I am getting one that says Near 81 State St (which I'm assuming is in Charleston, SC) where I was last week.
I'm no longer in Charleston, SC and wish to remove that search method, however, all attempts to remove it have failed.

Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of those unwanted "search methods"?

Another question - It appears that under recent finds: When I select a find to remove and click on "delete selected item", the top most entry will be deleted, which is not the item I want to delete.

Any thoughts on this?

Love this device - would be "lost" without it. (figuratively and realistically)

A soft reset (use paper clip to press reset switch on back of iQue) will remove the unwanted "near location x" entries in the search list.

Unless it's in your way, when exectuing a FastFinger script, there's no need to remove a "Near XYZZY", since it will not cause you any harm, and will automatically be replaced with something else, once you search near something else.

Don't know about the deleting recent things, since I find the whole point of the recently found items list to let it be undistrubed, or you can't use it as the recently found items.

If you're using QueFind, tap the menu icon/Options. You will see a selection to Clear Recently Found List. This is quite useful when the Recently Found List become unwieldly. Of course, if Recently Found is the only quick place you have some common Waypoints that you haven't saved, you'll have to re-find them through Search to rebuild the list.

The list of recently found items never becomes unwieldly. It's limited in length, so the least recently found items in the list are dropped, when new items arrive.

We each have our own definition of unwieldly. For me, unwieldly means I have to scroll the list, which I don't like doing while driving. And my Recently Found list has needed scrolling occasionally. I haven't found an option to limit the number of items in Recently Found, so I assume that number is set by Garmin.

Yes, the number is set by Garmin. But if you would perfer it to be no more than what's visible on the screen, then you just don't scroll the list. If you can't see it then, it's not on your list of recent items, even if it is on everybody else's, if they want to scroll the list. You simply search for the point again, and now it ends up at the top of the recent items again. Which is exactly what you would have to do, if you could limit the list to be no more than what's visible on the screen at the same time.

So you see, what you want is already there, at the same time as those with other preferences may get what they want too.
