I bought a 256m storage card today.

When I install programs, do I specifically have to tell them to use the storage card space (if so, how?) or will the programs automatically be put onto the storage card once the IPAQ's 64m memory is full?

Mikey.

It won't do it automatically -- ie. don't fill up your RAM completely!!

To install app's to the Storage Card, just answer "no" when asked to "install to default location" -- you will get a dialog box asking where to install... for other files, just copy and paste to a "My Documents" folder on the storage card...

Wow - Thanks for the quick reply!

I'll try your suggestion.

What's the purpose of creating a "My Documents" directory on the storage card? Will such a directory be automatically synched to your desktop?

Some app's need the files in that folder (or below it) or they won't "see" the files on the storage card...

Interesting, I have not come across that yet!

I read in a thread somewhere that PocketPC 2002 will automatically sync any and all My Documents folders regardless of whether they are located in system memory or on a storage card. I have not found that to be the case (I eventually bought MightySync to sync my storage cards).

That is why I was interested in your original response!
