I'm think about adding some mapping software to my 3715. I saw some from Delorme. If I buy a 2005 version am I able to upgrade it or would I have to buy a whole new version? Any opinions on them. Thanks!

You may want to contact Delorme directly or through its forum regarding their upgrade policy, it may change fairly often;

Other popular map programs are
Microsoft Pocket Streets 2005

Mapopolis

I don't believe that DeLorme has an upgrade pricing structure, so you'd need to buy the 2006 version. The 2006 is already out for PC and Handheld, I'd go directly for that one instead of the 2005 version.

There have been other posts though about Delorme's products about features that were on the 2003 version being removed from 2004 and still not added back in 2005. I don't remember what the exact issue is though.

Personally, I like it, I've used SA and Handheld, I will most likely buy the 2006 version. I have also used TOPO and saved Topo maps to the handheld as well.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled forum.

Thank you all! I was considering the Microsoft version as well, but it seems like the DeLorme is the way to go. Can you route a map with multiple stops from the handheld? Thanks again!
