Dear PPC Experts:
I've cut over from the Palm platform some time ago and am getting used to the PocketPC functionality.
At present, Bluetooth and GPRS-enabled web (internet) browsing is working well. However, I haven't figured out how "Inbox" can send/receive mail via GPRS. I hope I don't have to obtain a separate ISP account, as our local carrier does GPRS. Do I set up a separate dial-up? PopServer?? Will this affect ActiveSync with "regular" PC/Desktop-based synchronisation?
Secondly, is there an application so that I can look up a phone number on the iPAQ, Bluetooth it across and have the 6310 call the number? Seems very silly to have to re-type the number on the 6310. I can Bluetooth any record across (either way), but sometimes this isn't a number I wish to store permanently in the phone's memory, being more of an ad hoc basis. I imagine this sort of Bluetooth communication is fairly common, especially with Bluetooth phone headsets?
Thanks for helping. Sorry if this has been posted earlier - please point me to the relevant post. Thanks.
Lem :-)
Current: iPAQ 3970, Nokia 6310, 128mb MMC, foldaway keyboard
Gone: Palm IIIc, Nokia 6110, TDK GlobalPulse, foldaway keyboard, PalmPix
