I bought an M5 with bluetooth in the hopes I could 'automatically' connect to my Nokia phone to dial up an ISP or use the EDGE network. The devices are paired, but every time the blue connection gets disconnected, I have to go into the bluetooth manager to connect again. I should only have to tap on the internet explorer to connect again. Ironically, clicking on explorer, the M5 tries to use DUN, but it does not make the bluetooth connection first.

After weeks of trying and no response from garmin, I phone stonestreet one(the maker of the bluetooth stack on the M5) and they said they proposed this enhancement to Garmin, but garmin did not buy it.

Has anyone found a hack? I tried to programatically connect using .NETCF, but it did not attempt the bluetooth connection either.

HAs anyone suceeded in programatically connecting?

Thanks!

It probably doesn't help you, but if you open a Bluetooth client COM port from OpenNETCF you get a dialog prompting you to specify the Bluetooth service to which you want to connect. Having the port open will probably get in the way of your DUN connection, though.
