folks;
i know that the mako can sync with outlook (syncing sent messages and new mail etc...). but can it sync with say my documents folder? i have no practical use for the outlook sync part but it would be nice if i could sync all .doc files in my documents folder onto "school" folder on my psion.
cheers
makoman

You can do this with My Pocket from TomTom. Details are at http://www.palmtop.nl/mypocket.html.

Unfortunately not. I made the mistake of buying "My Pocket", thinking it would do this. But with
"My Pocket" you can only bind and sync individual *files*, one at a time. Not folders.

If you have 100 files in a folder, you have to bind each one separately. If you create a new file, you have to copy it manually, then create a new binding for it. If you delete a file, you have to delete the copy, and delete the binding.

I'm used to sync products like e.g. LapLink, that let you bind folders, and do all this automatically. For example, I expected to be able to bind the entire "documents' folder on my Psion to the the corresponding file in the emulator on my PC. No can do.

The best thing for me about "My Pocket" is being able to bind the contact and agenda files on my Psion to those in the emulator, so when at my desk I have my Psion calendar and address book up-to-date on my Windows desktop in the emulator. And by doing this both at home and at my office, I can keep my calendar and address book synchronized in Psion format on both desktops.
