ER6 emulation for OPL is a package of OPH & OPM files, which provides fairly faithful emulation of the ER6+ (Symbian) version of OPL on ER5 (Psion) devices.
As it is implemented using normal OPL files, certain aspects of ER6 OPL cannot be faked, and so they have to be contained (and sometimes abstracted) by wrapper procedures. For this & other reasons there also exists a Symbian version of this package, which should allow exactly the same source code of a program to be compiled on both Psion & Symbian devices - if it is used correctly.
This package can be used to port an existing Psion app to Symbian devices, but doing most of the work on a Psion, and keeping the source code for both devices the same. This package can also be used to port a Symbian app to Psions, or even just write new apps which will easily run on both systems.
This package has been put in the Public Domain by Chris S Handley, so that it may be used by as many programs as possible, including Open Source programs.
