Hello all,
If there's anyone that can tell me if my iPAQ is just now a paperweight or if I can recover it, let me know. Ok, so I have a Compaq iPAQ 3635 and I just tried to use my upgrade CD to PocketPC 2002. I haven't used this iPAQ in a long while since my job gave me one. Anyway, it started to "Update the ROM" and it started on the screen on the iPAQ then the computer had an error. "Error 105 Could not open a COM port. Please check the device manager to make sure the COM port is enabled", the iPAQ froze on the "Updating Rom 0%" screen. I retried the update, still didn't work. I tried a normal reset on the iPAQ, same screen. Tried a hard reset and all I get is the outline of the status bar of the upgrade. Nothing works. I think I just fried my ROM. Is there ANYTHING I can possibly do to get this back from the dead?
