Help
I cannot pair my GP-27 GPS device via bluetooth to my XDA 2, the problem occures when I try to pair, it asks for a security code (which is 000000) but the GPS device does not require this code to connect. The unit has an un-secure connection.
Is there any solution to this or a 3rd party piece of software that you can pair the XDA 2 to the GPS device without requiring a security code.
Thank you for your help.

Does 0000 work? Usually bt pin code is 4 digits.

Thanks for your response, unfortunately although when I try to pair the BT device to my XDA 2 it asks for a pin which is 000000 but the BT device does not need a pin as it is un-secured. If I could click next without entering a pin the device would pair, unfortunately the Next button is greyed out until you put in at least one character.
Ideally what I would like to know is there a 3rd party program that will pair with my BT device without entering a pin?

What i'm suggesting above is to enter 0000 (not 000000 or blank). Try that and see what happen.

Sorry I should of said I have tried 0000 & 1234 and get Invalid Bluetooth PIN.
I do know that if i try to pair it with a XDA IIi using Bluetooth Manager and Tap New, Explore Bletooth device it sees the GP-27. I then tap the icon representing the GP-27 select SPP-Slave and keep the Secure Connection box un-checked it will connect the GP-27 no problem.
Unfortunately, the XDA II does not have this facility and I cannot make an un-secure connection to the GP-27.
I have since found information pertaining to a program that I think might do the trick it's called BluetoothGPS.zip but i cannot find a download for it anywhere that still works.

For anyone else that needs it it's here:
BluetoothGPS XDA 2 XDA II Bluetooth Manager (http://geving.no/BluetoothGPS.cab)
This is the unzipped CAB that you copy over to your XDA II and run it from the PDA.
You then need to disable your normal Bluetooth Manager and do a soft boot.
(Bottom left hand corner of PDA poke your stylus in there)
Once it has rebooted enable Bluetooth via the new Manager and pair up with unsecured GPS receiver like the CPIT GP-27.
