Hello All
At the moment ActiveSync is driving me crazy because it takes forever and sometimes it doesn't finish at all. Apart from the Standard modules, I have Rotating Theme which changes mw Today Theme every day and AvantGo. I have disabled both of those but this hasen't made any difference. Any ideas why that might be? Could it be WinXP SP2?
Any ideas are more than welcome.

You can watch the ActiveSync progress on your desktop host by opening the AS program and then dropping your device into its cradle. This should allow you to see if the bottleneck is related to one of your syncing apps. The other possibility would be if you have a Today plug-in that is updating info over the web automatically on connection or an added email account that is checking a server for new mail. But I would suggest watching a sync session on your desktop AS to see if the slowdown is from one of the syncing apps.

I'm assuming that you already tried soft-reset the iPAQ and restart the desktop. 2 more things to check. Are you using the latest version of Activesync (3.8)? And is there any firewall setting on the desktop?

I reset both devices a number of times but ActiveSync is still as slow for both sync and backup. I do have the WinXP SP2 firewall turned-on; ccould this be slowind down AS? What do I have to do to stop it from interfeering with AS?
Many thanks
