Is there any way that I can down load extra fonts to 5MX word ? It seems the standard fonts is not enough for me. Is there also a way that I can convert a text file into jotter file ? (from pc to epoc)

Extra fonts can be downloaded - link up your Psion to the PC, then right-click the 'My Psion' icon on your desktop. On the 'Print Options' you will find the facility to download the printer settings and selected fonts to your Psion. Note that these fonts will be available only for the selected printer.

As far as converting a text file to a Jotter file is concerned, I don't think its possible. A Jotter file is a simple form of database, so how would the convertor know how to split a single text file into the multiple records of a Jotter file?

A better bet would be to use the joined Psion<->PC clipboards. With the two machines linked, create a new Jotter file, then copy the appropriate chunks of text one by one on the PC, and paste them into the Jotter file as appropriate.

There is an application called FontMachine from http://www.mbrainsoftware.com/FontMachine/FontMachine.htm that allows you to add and display fonts on the 5mx. If you want to print the font through the PC then you will need to have the font loded in the PC print driver (set up in PsiWin). The fonts will print direct to other printers and through Fax. The nice thing about FontMachine is that you can display all your fonts in any of the applications!

I recently read on Andrew Johnsons printer drivers now support direct printing of Fontmachine fonts.
