How come the M3 is not equipped with WinMob 5.0?

Just wondering since I noticed that its shipped with WinMob 2003 SE.

Any word if you can upgrade to 5.0 later? I'd like to have the latest OS if I'm going to buy the m3 for its 3D mapping capability.

WM 5.0 is not yet available right now. There is no new WM 5.0 ppc in the market from any manufauturer yet. The update is promised by some manufacturer at the earliest in October. Garmin has not yet made any comment about providing upgrade or support WM 5.0
