Psion brand name

I have always wondered where the name Psion comes from.
doees anyone have an idea of what it means or how it was invented ?

The PSI bit comes from Potter's Scientific Instruments after the Chairman, Dr David Potter, and the story goes that he was having an argument about the name and declared it would be "Potter's Scientific Instruments or nothing!" His secretary jotted down the first letters of that phrase P-S-I-o-n and it stuck.
