RAM Upgrade

In terms of RAM (not ROM), you can get an upgrade from 64mb to 128mb from a company I think is called PocketPCTech, for $200. Is it worth it? HP hx4700

I'm not sure if it's worth it considering the cost, but it will make your iPAQ run faster especially if you install most program in RAM. You can read comment from Brighthand;

But if you plan to upgrade to WM 5.0, then you will not need it because all OS and programs will be installed in ROM and the RAM will be left for running programs like desktop, so 64 MB of ram will be plenty.

WM 5.0 upgrade for hx4700 will be available soon, it's delayed beacuse of the graphic driver from ATI. The upgrade for hx2000 and Dell Axim should be out perhaps as soon as next month. Dell just released 3 new models of WM 5.0 Axim (X51) to replace X50 today.

lol good grief Dell spews out models left and right. Any rumors of a new Ipaq? I hope not, since I just bought the hx4700 lol.
