Compatability problems - help needed

I recently installed a broadband modem and software and it is preventing my attempts to Hotsync my m515 which is also on a USB connection. The whole system freezes and I have to shut down and reboot the whole thing. The only way round it is to disconnect the Broadband modem which means I can't Hotsync Avantgo. I'm running Windows 98. Any bright ideas?

Sounds like both are trying to use the same USB channel. I thought that each USB device was supposed to generate a unique ID. Perhaps you need to uninstall then re-install Palm desktop. Keep the broadband modem ON and connected.

I had the same combination before with no problem: Visor Deluxe USB, Win98, DSL modem going thru USB.
