Que Software and Dell X50V

Hello, I am new to this site and just purchased a GPS 10 that I can use for my X50V. I am having problems though using the software. I am using the upgraded version of the Que software also. The problems I am having is using the routes on the PDA. I put in my 2 waypoints for the beginning and end but when it calculates the route, it doesn't show the side streets for me to go on and starts me off in a weird area. I noticed people here having problems with the maps unlocking and not working properly. I don't know how to check if the maps are unlocked though. I installed the maps from mapsource I believe and put the whole state of CA on my PDA. Under the detailed maps tab in the map setup, it shows all the areas and each has a checkmark next to it. I guess my question is first how to check if my maps are unlocked and if anyone else is having troubles with the routing?

I hope this hasn't been discussed before. I tried a search and couldn't find the answers I needed.
