I wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all the great information on your site. I am a Toyota 4WD owner/collector (Have 3) and am a long time member of the IH8MUD.COM forum. Being an "old guy" on another forum taught me to search before you ask any questions.
I poured through other website's and went from having the Garmin 60CS to the Garmin 76CS as my favorite. In going through other websites, I learned a lot about these devices. I then read about the Garmin ique series on this site and it interested me.
There are several reasons I selected the M3. I bought it from an authorized Garmin Dealer with City Streets Installed, Ordered the Topo Maps and they gave me an extra year of extended warrenty for free for $500. A 60CS or 76CS with the same Software would have been more (like $600) and it looks to me (Untrained) that the M3 has more capabilities with the new software, but is not as sturdy.
Another reason was the PocketPC platform that would allow me to also utilize an OBDII reader so I can monitor my vehicles performance and help optimize/maintain its operation. I would be able to do this on any vehicle that is 1996 or newer .
An additional advantage is the SDIO slot. This gives me the ability to add a wifi card so I can surf web and a 1GB SD Memory card to add more maps than I probably would ever need. I thought about getting one of the combo cards, but that would leave something sticking out of the top ALL the time and would not fit in the case I ordered for protection.

Again, thanks for the great site. I know these forums can be addicting and very satisfying way to interact with others who share the same interest.

First off, WELCOME!
Sencond, try and research the SDIO WIFI availability. I just checked and there are not too many cards out. Sandisk, the only compatible card that I know of, is not available and out of production. I should have bought one a while ago. Im kicking myself. Thats ok though. I stlll can connect w/ bluetooth/tmobile.
