REMOVE P900 SOFTWARE BEFORE INSTALLING P910i SOFTWARE (SUITE)

Hi,

I had a SE P900, and backed it up just before it crashed on me.

I have purchased a replacement P910i, and was wondering, before I install the software that came with the P910i, and some more software I have obtained, do I need to uninstall the P900 software/ back-up "My P900?

I would like to keep the P900 software installed, incase I have the P900 repaired and want to reinstall the back-up, or do I absolutely have to remove the P900 software?

I wasn't thinking of backing up the P900's info to the P910i; my concern was whether I could keep both software suites (the original P900 already loaded, and the P910i that I want to load, on the same PC and not have any conflicts or confusion when I try to sync either.

Or whether I must remove/uninstall the P900 software?

I have upgraded from the P900 to the P910 and found that instaling the new software will automatically overwrite the old software - understandablly. What I found was that when the synch software breaks it is 'very' hard to get it working again. The P900 software will sych with the new software so you wont need to keeo the old sych software on there.

If I understand you correctly, though the back-up for the P900 will NOT synch with the new P910i, they will both use the same software to synch with their respective back-ups?

Thats right, but the P910i sotware will (should) sych the P900 phone.
