i have an ipaq 3630 with pc card expansion pack plus..

i want to expand my ipaq's usability by adding a GPS system i am however at a loss on what system to get.

i have had viewed quite a number of products but am not sure what to get since i am pretty much afraid ill just waste hard earned money on a GPS product that will be of no use to me...

im looking for a system that will both work outdoors (for camping, hiking, or plain walking) and inside an automobile and anything that will work below $200.

also ive heard of pretec cf gps is this product any good?

lasty, will any GPS reciever work with any map software? or will they only work with the mapping software that comes with them..

any help will be appreciated....

Hello all.

I just picked up the 3955 (have the battery / CF expansion pack) and would like to know the same info about the best GPS.

So I second the question.

:)

Cheers!

Here's a GPS for PDAs website. They have reviews, if you can hunt for them. The website is very difficult to navigate, ironic for a GPS website, no?

*UPDATE*
Still at GPS Passion, here's a bunch of GPS units of all types and their reviews.

I have Traveroute's new Co-Pilot for my Ipaq 3970 and am quite impressed with it's operation.
