Hi,

I am trying to connect my iPAQ to my laptop via IR. IR port works fine
and recognises my iPAQ for Wireless link when the ports are aligned. I
have enabled IR as the connection port on ActiveSync and followed
other instructions on:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/support/pocketpc/tshoot/activesync/IR_Meta_Enable.asp
(and other relating pages).

The only problem I run into is when I try to enable IR on my PocketPC.

To enable infrared (IR) communications on the Pocket PC

Remove the Pocket PC from its cradle to disconnect it from the desktop
computer.
On the Pocket PC, tap the Start menu, and then tap Programs.
Tap the Connections folder.
Physically align the Pocket PC's IR port with the desktop computer's
IR port. Infrared connections work best when the two infrared ports
are approximately six inches apart.
Tap IR ActiveSync. Synchronization should commence.

First, I do not have a connections folder under programs. I can find
it using the Explorer in "\Program Files\Connections". However the
folder is empty and does not have an "IR ActiveSync" button to tap.

I'm running PocketPC 2002 OS, ROM Version 1.14.00 ENG.

Anybody's help would be VERY MUCH appreciated.

Cheers,
Alex S. K.
