Attachment Viewing for BlackBerry – Free Trial

Just got the new edition of "BlackBerry Connection" reporting that "Research In Motion is offering a free preview of the new attachment viewing capabilities for BlackBerry". Is anyone familiar with this? Any idea whether it is worth abandoning Itrezzoagent?

I believe that's the one that requires BES, isn't it?

Still looks like for those of us without a BES, Itrezzo's 75$ per license server software is the best option.

I have the Internet Blackboard (through Earthkink) and downloaded and am using Itrezzo for free.....

My BlackBerry doesn't support attachment downloading, so I have to send it off to third parties for conversion.

Right. That's what Itrezzo does - for free. I just wonder what this new program is. Also, what is BES? Is it Blacberry Enterprise something?

multithousand dollar server software that you need for their attachment viewng solution.

The 75 dollars for itrezzo is for their server software on your network instead of sending documents off to someone you don't know.

I tried the BlackBerry software and I wasn't impressed. It only handles a few file types and I can't print off of it like I can with itrezzo, plus itrezzo added a couple of features to check calendars and activate the out of office assistance and it only cost me $75 per.

The attachment viewing on the BES will be included in the price of the BES if you have the maintenance contract for the upgrades.

Also, the attachment viewing addon for the 3.5 BES (the only BES it works on) is still free if you want to download it. As is the 3.5 handheld software... for now....
