Hey all, I've got a bit of a problem. My palm was recently stolen, and some kids took it and beat it into pieces. now i've recovered the parts of my palm, and the mainboard seems to be in pretty good condition, no scratches or circuit damage. the only thing is is that the battery, speaker, and screen are missing. I was wondering if there was any way to hotsync it with my computer to recover the data from it. My Palm was my lifeline, and it would be a big help if anyone could help me. I do have some knowledge of circuits and soldering and that stuff, so feel free to go indepth.

Thanks for your help,
Mossball765

um, I'm not trying to sound rude or anything but you might try it on the palm m150 page, sorry I don't have a link to it for you. they might know more about your specific unit

I lost ALL my contacts because I left my zire m150 unplugged by accident. Does anyone know how to recover these lost files? When I turned the zire back on it went through the original setup and calibration but thats all Ive done. I thought the zire used static memory...guess now.

@ Mossball and AMS1: As with most PDAs (Palm PDAs anyway), the Zire's memory is volatile, which means it needs constant power to retain data. If your battery was disconnected at any point, your data is gone for good. There is no way to recover it, period.

The lesson for next time: always back up your data on a regular basis.
