How long have you owned your e310 and how long was it used? What is missing that you desire to use. I know what the e740 can do, but I am wanting to know what youare wanting to do with the e740 jdeloney 08-27-2002, 11:20 PM I desire to utilize the additional expansion slot. For a camera and or other peripheral possibilities. The removable battery adds additional reasons. I am a large man and the smaller PDA is a bit awkward in my hand, I have held the e740 and it feel that much better. Greg 09-24-2002, 08:46 AM Did you ever sell your E310? If not what price? Greg jdeloney 09-24-2002, 10:31 AM Yes I still have the e310. I wanted to posted it on the web, but never got around to it. I was hoping to get at least $235. Do you know some one who wants one? If so let me know. You can reach me via this post. Thanks.... John Greg 09-24-2002, 11:08 AM John, Can you describe the shape it's in, what it comes with, and how the unit is? Also would you be willing to do Paypal so I can use a credit card? Thnx Greg jdeloney 09-24-2002, 12:36 PM Hey Greg, It's is like new condition. I use only the best care of all of my electronics. It has a screen protector since day one. Protective case ect. It is without a blimish. It would come with all of the stuff that came with it. USB Cradle, Software, Leather like sleeve and Instruction Man. I am also willing to include a leather case that I purchased for $39.00 for any one interested. I have not yet used PayPal, I am planning on checking it out today. If you are interested, you can drop me a direct email at.. jdeloney@wwc.com. Take care.... John Snowman 10-01-2002, 10:16 PM John, if you're thinking about getting an e740, I would try it out somehow before getting it through mail/web order (i.e buy it locally and return it within a few days if they don't have a restocking fee). After finally getting one at a decent price, I found I had all sorts of USB sync problems and didn't even want to attempt wireless sync. I'm also seeing many others on the message boards posting problems with the USB sync connection. Anyway, just wanted to forewarn you. (I got an iPaq instead and it syncs everytime through the USB). jdeloney 10-01-2002, 11:56 PM Thank you for the heads up. I do want the up grade, but not at the risk of loosing what I have that works. I really wanted the aditional slot so that i may take advantage of all of the ad on's. How do you like your choice with the iPaq? Snowman 10-02-2002, 08:29 AM I, too, was looking for exactly what the e740 was offering - the dual slot memory and even built in wireless. How enticing! I really like the hardware but the software REALLY needs some work. So if you're willing to wait out the initial bugs, it's worth getting but I didn't have the time nor patience to play around with it. I got it to sync once with each reboot of my machine (tried several machines, too). Very annoying so I returned it as painful as it was. I got the iPaq 3835 as the price has dropped significantly and you even get $100 worth of rebates (you need UPC and serial number for two different rebates). So you can basically get it for $300! I have not yet had a problem with it and it syncs everytime via USB. So far, I love it and it appears it has great support in the way of software and accessories. Highly recommended if you're not in the need for CF or wireless built in. I haven't yet found the need for wireless and buying a CF jacket for it is only $40. Al horseshoe7 10-03-2002, 08:03 PM I agree, the software is CRAP. Toshiba makes great hardware, but their programmers couldn't code their way out of a wet paper bag. ... and I end up running into more problems than the average user, because I'm developing a PocketPC application with VS.NET/CF Beta using C#... I'm running on the BLEEDING EDGE on both the target and development side... PDA Street
