Just got word that my Axim is "in shipping," which means I'll probably receive it this Thanksgiving weekend or early next week.

Frankly, I am a little surprised at how quickly everything was handled. Dell sets itself apart again.

When did you order it and what model did you get?

I ordered mine on the 20th, but their on-line tracking site says the 21st. It also says that it won't be shipped until the 17 of December. Last Friday a Dell lady called saying it was being shipped, so now I'm confused.

I am right there with you. I ordered mine on the 18th, paid for the next day shipping and it is still in production. Let us all know when you recieve an update.

I ordered mine on Nov. 18 and did NOT pay for next-day shipping, and it arrived today (Dec. 2).

For once in my life, I'm following the instructions <g>, so the Axim is in the midst of its initial, four-hour battery charge. Thus, I can't offer any first-hand impressions, other than to say that it doesn't seem nearly as bulky as someone suggested.

Curious, did you place your order online or on the phone, did you order any accessories?

I ordered on line, and I added the leather case and the cradle, and it finally shipped out today!

Which Axim did you order? The 300 seems to be shipping faster. Also, are you located in the US?

I ordered my Axim 400 online. Didn't order any accessories.

I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which probably helped shorten the delivery time somewhat.

I ordered my 400 on Nov. 26th online. Two orders appeared on the website, one of which showed as shipping. Details of this order turned out to be nothing. I received a letter from Dell on Dec. 2 showing a pseudo invoice with nothing on it. I'm really unsure why they sent this.

My other order, the real one, is still InProduction, and shows an estimated shipping date of 'on or before' Dec. 17th.

They must be assembling these units in Taiwan or something. I'm only 2 hours from Dell's Factory, and it can't take that long to build these things.

I do have a friend that ordered his before me with several accessories, which seemed to have pushed his est. shipping date 14 days after mine. I'm thinking that Dell is waiting for the accessories and that may be the bottleneck.
