256 mb Memory Stick-When???

Does anybody know when the 256 mb sticks are coming out? I remember a while ago when the SmartMedia ones came out about 6 months ago that they were supposed to have come out in August 2002. It's almost December so what's up Sony? For such a great company with amazing products they sure seem dragging their @sses right before the holidays.

Well, I think they are out, there was a rumor that a Russian site was selling them, could have been a doctored photo though. Really though, any time. Cheers

From what I heard, and the truth in this is questionable to say the least, the predicted time for the release of the 256mb sticks was some time after Xmas... which seems odd to me, but hey! You'd have thought that they would want to catch the Xmas market, but maybe they're hoping to sell twice as many 128mb sticks! :confused:

I don't know. I really hope they get some real memory options for ms, or give us some sort of cheap portable hardrive. The new pdas(especially the nx series) have the ability to play and record whole movies, store mp3s, run various programs and databases, and all sorts of other things, but how are we to do this with 128mb??? I would be very happy with a portable hard drive, even if it was as big as the clie itself.
