i had been running a trial version of outlook 2003 because i had lost the validation code that came with my Axim (for outlook 2002). MS finally agreed to give me a new code and told me to first uninstall the version i had been running. i did this, then installed the version that came with my axim (using the code they provided). now it's bad.

i can open outlook, but it has no calendar, contacts, tasks, notes, etc. if i try to sync. i get "attention required" for those things.

it gets worse. there are NO options to set up an email account. from outlook (on my PC) i click "tools" i get the drop down menu, but there is no option for email accounts the way there should be. if i close outlook and just go to the control pannel on my PC's start menu, then click "user accounts" there is NO option for creating email accounts at the bottom of the screen where it normally is.

this is driving me insane. Dell couldn't help, they told me to call MS. MS said they might be able to help, but i had to give 'em $35 WTF

I don't know if this will even help, but you can try repair your .pst files;

i tried this (from the link you gave me):

On the Start menu, click Run.
In the Open box, type
drive:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\LocaleID\scanpst.exe

where LocaleID is the locale identifier (LCID) for your installation of Microsoft Office. For example, the LCID for English (United States) is 1033. For a list of LCIDs, see Microsoft Office Help.

i keep gettin a pop up that says "parameter incorrect" i tried it with \LocaleID\ and \1033\ neither way would allow me to open anything up.

Just do a search for scanpst.exe within File Explorer , make sure you choose to display hidden files and file extention and search the entire drive.
