Installing new OS

I am considering buying a Dell Axim X50. The problem is that it has no OS. How easy is it to install and OS onto this PDA? How do I go about doing it and what tools will I require to perform the install?

OS for Windows Mobile devices is stored in ROM, end user cannot install OS on your own. Generally user can hard reset it and bring back the factory installed OS. My guess is the unit is broken or defective. You can try to flash ROM with the OS upgrade but without working unit to start with, but there is no guarantee that it will work. It's very likely that this unit got to this condition during faulty or imcomplete upgrade by a user.
