I have downloaded the Message Suite for an Oregon Scientific Osaris and it all works fine. However, when I try to connect to the internet via a PC, it does not work. I have set up the internet properties correctly (I think, if anyone wants to know what I put, post me back) and when I try to connect this happens:
1. At the top of the web browser it says "Looking up host server"
2. On the PC it says "Connecting" as if it was going to connect to PsiWin.
3. After about 20 secs the pc comes up with a connection failed notice.
4. The Osaris says "Error: could not connect to [web page]. Timed out."
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Err, what software do you use for connecting to internet via PC?
When only Link Cable is used, internet connection is not possible. You need to use DsLink (Free) or Mocha PPP (Shareware) instead!

We have tried downloading HW VSP which re-directs the data from the comm port to our router but it doesn't seem to be working. I'll try your suggestion. Thanks!
Mocha PPP, for 9.99, is a great deal. Much smaller program than DSLink; I have it on my toolbar; it's never failed me.
Only caveat in XP Pro--if you're running PsiWin 2.3.3, you have to close it via right-click its icon on the toolbar. Otherwise the two progs fight for the same Comm port. That didn't happen in WndowsME...
No big deal, since PsiWin reactivates itself (and its ownership of the Comm port) simply be clicking the desktop icon.

Thanks! DSLink works perfectly. I already knew about closing PsiWin, I found out on a different website. Someone managed to connect their Psion 5 to the net via Windows NT's RAS, but we have XP so...
Thanks a lot!

Using Linux is cheating! And probably not what the questioner was hoping for either...
