SJ30 - weird memory stick behaviour

Hi All,

I have a new Sony CLIE SJ30 with 128Mb Memory Stick. I have installed MSMount, and I have mounted /PALM/Launcher directory.

I now observe the following behaviour. The apps that I originally installed onto the memory stick show in double. When I explore the files on the card and on the palm itself I see the app file on both locations. And there are two icons corresponding to those two files. When I try to delet the copy residing on the palm, I get a deletion error and file remains. When I delete the copy residing on the memory stick, I end up deleting both copies.

What on Earth is going on??? Is the file located on the palm just a read-only link to the files lcated on the memory stick??? How do i distinguish between them? (That I partially asnwered by using Launcher X that adds a dot next to the memory-stick-based apps...)

Any suggestions, advice, links will be great appreciated. Sorry if this question has occured and i had missed it...

Well i suggest that you format your memory stick .with the format soft on your clie...then do a hard rest.
I don't like these launchers that are available on the market...i downloaded one..then i took it out.....i recomand that you do the same....but if you must install one do a search to c which is the best...don't install any launcher .
Also..there's a good free soft called McFile.....it lets you c whats on your memory stick And on your sony..and you can delete...move..copy any file..from your palm to the stick and vice versa ....i have it and it's a great soft to have ...make things easier . :)
