Talk about perfect timing - just happened to check
http://corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=53

and new 0.70 version is out TODAY! (up from 0.66). Woohooo! I have just moved out old 0.66 from flash, uninstalled, and REinstalled this new one, just to be safe. Did not bother keeping AAC File Manager Plugin (200k) -- apparently it's no longer needed!! As 0.66, it works great in flash, and several of the plugins are updated too.

For full update details, click on the VERSION # (0.70) - many Palm improvements including more options. Goes to fullscreen faster now, and you have individual speed/color settings for each movie (which you may have had before, but I just noticed they're settable individually). For those interested in "tweaking" the stack request in TealMover, this is already set at 4096 as opposed to the default 3300; I did not increase it. That point's moot to 98% of you all, anyway. Suffice it to say this thing's just GREAT.

This excellent freeware just got better - what a wonderful bunch. Enjoy!

Between this and PalmPDF, I can't keep up with revisions! (And they're both free-- gotta love it!)

Anyone know where the link is for TCPMP? I see one posted above but it doesn't seem to want to get me anywhere.

If you can't access the main corecodec site
http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about
Here's a backup site;
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/
By the way version 0.7 also has a version for desktop windows.

Does this version leave out AAC audio also? I won't upgrade unless i can use that.

I think it still leaves out AAC;

Thanks for the information PTL.. This guy continues to pull great updates out of the hat. So many freeware projects seem to be abandoned as soon as the get to a "usable state", (or even before that!), but thankfully that doens't appear to be the case here :)
I use this program now, almost exclusively, for all media playback, on both my PPC and Palms.

What all this about a new Palm...The TX or something? Crikey I've been away from all this for too long. I feel a faliure that a new Palm came out and I didn't even know about it... And this new Zire thingy too..
Maybe I should buy a TX, to bring myself back up to date (and to make me feel better :))

I'm having a few problems with TCPMP:

When the screen blanks, the sound cuts off.
The preamp control has been removed.

On top of that, a bunch of the old settings (from ver. 0.66) are gone. What happened to all the good stuff!?

I'm running the same version .70 and I have all the settings that were in .66 including preamp. I select prefs from the main screen - then select Audio and voila - preamp.

You may want to check again, or possibly reload.

I think so they play on my other player that is on my palm, the on that comes with it. I don't really know.

The format should be a 'regular' format ie. MPEG 4, Avi etc. Not a converted one for Kinoma player or anything ie. .PBD

I don't have Kinoma so it would be regular format. it plays on all my other programs i just can't open it in that player.
