I have an ipaq Pocket PC 3670 running PPC 2002 attached to either an IBM 600 or an IBM T-20 through a USB connection. The laptops are both running Active Sync 3.6 and Windows 2000 Pro. My problem is that whenever I shut down either computer (PC) and then re-start I get the mobile devices error "The TCP/IP network Transport is not installed" I have tried everything. I have contacted Compaq support whose advice was to remove and re-install the TCP/IP network protocol which worked. The problem is that this must take place every day several times a day as I move around from office to home and back and is a true PIA. To further the difficulty, the TCP/IP transport protocol cannot be removed from my T-20 without removing "Simple TCP/IP transport" which I have been unable to accomplish given the complexities of the Microsoft MMC the operation of which I am truly baffled by. Any Thoughts. I have removed and re-installed active sync according to the specific protocols, I have removed and re-installed the TCP/IP (at least on the 600) , I have soft and hard re-set the PPC, and done all of these in multiple sequences to cover all iterrations.
