As of Dec. 10th '05 what version number is the latest ROM update for X51v? Is it still AO4?

Yes, it's still A04.

I'm new to the pocket pc. I will need some help finding the version that is on the Axim51v so as to know if I need the update.
How do I determine the version? :confused:

As of 1/20/06, Dell is shipping units with A06 version ROM's.

HI: I am new to this post and also new to the whole pocket pc world. I recently bought an axim 51v and I figured out that it is not up to date on the most recent rom update. My system has the A01 version. I was wondering what version would I need to download. The A04 or the A06 version or would I have to download A04 then A06. And one final thing, would I be able to download this update straight from my pocket pc while being logged on the internet. Or would I have to download to my desktop, then syncronize it with my pocket pc. Thanks

The link above will get you to the latest ROM A06. A06 update will contain update from A04 as well. You will need to download the update to the desktop and run it there while you connect the Axim to it.
