I've newer had own computer before so this might be a little ignorant question: which is better return to money 300 or 400Mhz if I just use it for mp3 and word prosessoring and why?
What to I need to het and howmuch does it cost to connect to the internet? Is there more than one keyboard for it? Is there discounts besides the 50$ one?
Thanks
I'm personally goin for the 300mhz version. the diff between the 300 and 400 (besides clockspeed) is: the 400 has 48megs of rom, whereas the 300 has 32. the 400 also comes with a usb docking cradle, whereas the 300 has a usb cable (not a docking station).. however, since both have Compact Flash and SD slots for extra storage, you don't really need the extra 16megs of rom as most apps will let you install on your storage card. the docking station is nice but you can always get that later on.
in canada, dell's 300mhz version is $299 (after rebate), whereas the 400 is $469. to me it's not worth payin the extra $170 for the higher end one. the 300 will run everything you want to run.
I've posted this reply on a different thread, but I believe it still applies to your question. I hope it helps.

I bought (and received yesterday) the 300MHz with 32MB RAM/32MB ROM. You can get a SanDisk 128MB Secure Digital card for $52.77 at amazon.com, which won't take your CF slot, and spend another $70 to get a DLink DCF-660W to make it Wireless, hence all in all you get a Wireless PocketPC with 32MB ROM + 32MB RAM + 128MB for applications for circa $320 (computing the $50 rebate) - I think this is good value for money given what's available in the market today.
