my new e740 will sync thro the IR port with my Toshiba Portege 7100, but not thro the USB port. Do I need another version of ActiveSync on the PC? I downloaded ver 3.5 from the web. Pls comment.

You might want to check out Toshiba's website for a download. The driver is an updated USB port driver that works with e310 and e740 and it might help. Good Luck!

The description on that USB driver is that it is for Toshiba laptops. Have you tried it with a generic PC?

I have a DELL laptop. Give it a try and see if it helps. It's from Toshiba. :)
