My Kyocera 7135 died, so I'm in the market for a new smartphone. Does anyone know of models or technology that are "right around the corner?"
I loved my 7135 - until I left it out in the rain it didn't have any of the problems others have reported. It runs (yes, it still functions, I just can't seem to get it to hotsync and the battery runs down too quickly now) the Palm OS, and I'm one of the apparent minority who prefer writing with a stylus to typing on a miniature keyboard. I can write almost full speed, and I can't imagine I can type that quickly on the keyboard phones.
Verizon (my carrier) no longer sells the 7135; I think Samsung makes a model similar to the 7135, but it's only offered by Sprint. I like the Palm OS, and I obviously have software for it, but I'm willing to look at Windows Mobile.
So should I switch to a new model now? Is there something great right around the corner? Will I ever see another model that uses the stylus? Is the new Blackberry the evil creation or phone-we've-all-been-waiting-for that it's supporters/detractors claim? Please, I just want that awesome phone-pda combination. :-)
Does anyone have information or comments that can help me? Thanks in advance.
