I use the x30 for accessing industrial controls through an rs-232 convertor plugged into the port on the bottom of the pda. The x50 I own doesn't support this. Did Dell do this on purpose?

AnswerDude 12-17-2005, 07:12 PM Will this work for you? http://www.gomadic.com/dell-axim-x50-rs232-serial-db9-gps-data-cable.html Or there is cf card serial card http://www.socketcom.com/product/serial.asp?Type=Single smartpi 01-02-2006, 10:39 PM I have tried both of the solutions you suggested. When I plug in the CF card, I get a message that there is no port associated with the card in the CF slot. The serial port option is not available on the x50 that I have. PDA Street
