5mx won't connect.....

HI there,

Sorry to bother you but after a few years of connecting every time, my 5mx won't connect. The baud rate is the same, the cable is secure both ends. The only thing I'm not sure about is which COM ports to tick on the properties and if there's anything on the Psion itself to confirm which ports I've checked.

Would appreciate your help on this as I suddenly realise how much I use it!

1) Tried a soft-reset?

2) Check the cable connectors aren't damaged...?

3) try each check box for each port in turn if your not sure.....?

1) tried a soft reset several times (got Reset Plus on Control Panel)

2) Cables look and fit fine

3) Apart from checking the Com port boxes in Psion properties, is there anywhere else to confirm the sequence of ports checked??
