In the hands of my little brother, my z21 can't turn on for the second time. I thought this time it's really dead. Went out to buy the z31 with headphone and 128 mem card for $169cad. When I got back home I tried the cradle reset, the faithful z21 springed back to life.

Is the z31 that much of a improvement to keep it while I've got my z21 back now? Is the music capabilities worth it? I can buy a mp3 player for $29, but is this better sounding? I heard that most z31 doesn't last that long either. Or will my z21 last any longer, it's over 1 year now.

I just got a 1GB SD card for my Zire 31, and I really like it. What I like most is having complete control over how my audio player works by choosing whatever software I please...instead of being locked into the narrow feature set of some proprietary embedded software of some other stand-alone audio player device.

I would keep the Z31 and sell the Z21. But, this is really your decision to make based on personal preference.

I know the z31 is better too and memory expansion is unlimited especially when SD card prices are dropping fast. But where can I sell my z21?
I think the z31 is going to drop price soon, I returned it already. I'll buy it when it's cheap.

I saw saw an unused old black palm with green light and 8mb for $50(cad) with a keyboard. But looks like bad quality could be fake, should I try it?

I got my z21 on the internet connected to the pc is quite fun hopefully for a long while.

I thought you said you already returned the 31? Why would you sell the 21 then?

I think I would just keep the z21, it wouldn't sell for much anyways. It has provided me a lot for a year and I would miss it.

I'm really surprised that the z22 replaced the z31 not the z21. Then it's a step backwards because the headphone jack and card slot is dropped. Will the z31 drop in price because the z22 is replacing it?

You mean drop in price when buying it direct from Palm? Perhaps. Maybe they'll come out with a "real" replacement for the Zire 31 (Which, I don't think is necessary. For me, the Zire 31 is near perfection).

I got mine for $85 USD on eBay.
