i705 has to be reset after every Hotsync??

I have just started using an old i705 just to basically keep up with my calendar, contacts, task lists, etc. Nothing fancy. However, every time I perform a Hotsync with my outlook, It requires me to reset it which causes me to lose all of the settings I had in place. Is there a way to prevent this?

you can find a manual and see if theres anything you can change in the hotsync process.
