Hello everybody, I was wondering if any of you already had the opportunity to test the Tungsten T to access a GPRS Internet account via a Bluetooth phone, as my Sony Ericsson T68i .
The Palm Phone Link application seems to do its work, my GSM provider is recognized, and apparently the connection is established when I use - as an example - Web Pro.
But as soon as I try to visit a web site, I have a DNS not found error. I doubt that the connection isn't actually established, but I know no application to make a low level check of my networking status and verify it.
What makes me wonder is that the connection created by Phone Link is extremely poor of configuration. It simply says "Connect to Local Network" and "Via Bluetooth" with my T68i bluetooth name as device. Is it really enough? The network entry is too simple, too... username, password, and the reference to the connection I've said about. Everything else is set in their default values.
One more reason to think this is strange is that, because of the fact that the T68i has its own POP3 client, I've previously had the successful opportunity to configure it to dial-up access the GPRS Internet by itself, and I had to put parameters as APM etc. that the Palm doesn't ask me!
Any ideas?
Gianfranco
