Help! My Pocket PC is soaked in water when I put it in a non-waterproof bag and travelled in a rainy day.

My Pocket PC screen is half soaked in water now. I could still power on the screen and see all the details, but the touchscreen feature no longer works!

I tried to remove the casing and then the LCD screen, but the front touchscreen is adhered to the LCD screen.

My Pocket PC is Toshiba e310, and warranty already expires long ago. What can I do to remove the water between the touchscreen and the LCD screen?

Please help, thanks~

Leave the power off. I'd tap the unit lightly in your hand and see if it knocks the water out, but don't turn it on for a couple days till it drys. You could try a hair dryer, but be careful not to get it too close and melt something.

Since the water was rain water, if it drys, it may work okay. If you can get the case open, that might help air it out.

Just grab the screw driver if your device is not in waranty , make it in pieces and then dry it. I have several expirements of this kind and all the times my smartphone works like brand new after 1 day under the sun light

p.s. dont do this if your device still have warratny cause they will not obey their promisses about repair

Same problem with TOSHIBA e800 - only quantity of water much smaller only about 1cm2. I made small opening in touch sensitive film - pierced it with needle (small size sewing needle) just in the place where water was (lower part of screen) and left it in the Sun for entire day (hot sunny summer day). In the evening there was no water and screen worked as new.
